Back at work.....all is well.
Waiting for purchase offer for house to be finished.
My doctor has allowed me to get out and about yesterday, today & this weekend so I can get my energy back up to go back to work Tuesday.....so we're looking at a REALLY NICE ranch house tmrw.
Price is well within our range and its a gorgeous lot.
And it has a big bedroom downstairs for guests.
In medical news, my bruising on my neck and wrist are fading and I am officially off all antibiotics so hopefully my gut is healed and I'll be good to go.
With being sick and all I haven't listened to Hannity since Feb 6, but I can smell that he's backing Bush's position on this British/United Arab Emirates (UAE) Dubai Ports port-control issue.
My understanding is that Michael Chertikoff (Homeland Insecurity Chief), Rumsfeld (Defense Secretary) and a person named Snow have all denied knowledge of the sale of the port oversight to Dubai Ports along with Dubya until they heard it on the mainstream news.
Now according to local conservative (IE Dubya-lover) Radio talk show host Bob Lonsberry Snow and Rumsfeld are on the committee that APPROVED this deal. OMG---are you serious? You approved something you were not fully knowledgeable of on this scale????
This current White House Administration is a complete embarrassment.

Came home Tuesday...feel really good but I tire out easily. I truly thought I was going to buy the farm Friday night....I felt that bad.
Typing is still a little touchy but getting better. Sleeping well...eating good.
I could not have had a more awesome medical staff in the ER and up in my room. It's kind of humbling when you're too sick to wipe your own backside.
This whole experience has clarified what is important in my life. Suz was simply amazing in how she handled it and maintained her strength for me.

Thanks to Suz's sister T for watching Isabella for us to allow Suz to hang out with me at the hospital.

PETE CAME HOME TUESDAY AT NOON. PETE IS OFF OF WORK
UNTIL AT LEAST FEBRUARY 28TH. I AM OFF ALSO TODAY AND
MAY WORK A HALF DAY TOMARROW.
PETE'S PARENTS GOT HOME FROM EGYPT MONDAY AT NOON.
DAD CAME TO SEE PETE AT 4:30PM WHICH MADE EVERYTHING
RIGHT IN HIS WORLD AGAIN. BOTH MOM & DAD HAVE A
COLD, SO THEY DON'T WANT TO INFECT PETER SINCE HIS
IMMUNE SYSTEM IS SHOT. THEY CALL AND TALK TO HIM
DAILY.
PETE,IZZY AND I TOOK A 3 HOUR NAP AFTER LUNCH
YESTERDAY. WE ALL SLEPT SOUNDLY FOR THE FIRST TIME IN
5 DAYS. SO ALL IS GETTING BETTER. PETE CAN'T WAIT
UNTIL TOMARROW WHEN HE CAN GET HIS BANDAGE OFF HIS
NECK AND CAN TAKE A SHOWER.
Here's the email Suz sent out to our friends on Sunday night after returning home from the hospital....again I am quoting her as I am on typing restrictions. Please excuse the caps.
PETE HAD A MUCH BETTER DAY TODAY. HE GOT A GOOD SOLID
NIGHTS SLEEP. HE IS OFF THE I.V. AND THEY CHANGED HIS
BANDAGE TODAY AND I GAVE HIM A SPONGE BATH. HE FELT
LIKE A NEW PERSON. THE BEST THING TO HAPPEN TODAY WAS
OUR PASTOR CAME AND SAW US TODAY. PETE AND I FELT
MUCH BETTER SEEING HIM AND HE HAS A WONDERFUL CALMING
EFFECT ON US BOTH.
PETE'S PARENTS ARE ON THEIR WAY BACK FROM EGYPT TODAY.
PETE'S BROTHER MIKE GOT A CALL THAT WAS A VERY BAD
CONNECTION, BUT THEY SHOULD BE IN VERY LATE TONIGHT.
THEIR FLIGHT GOT DIVERTED TO WASHINGTON D.C.- SO THEY
MAY NOT GET HOME UNTIL TOMARROW. THEY DO NOT KNOW
ABOUT PETE.
LUCKILY MY BOSS R IS A GREAT PERSON AND IS A DOG
LOVER, SO SHE IS BEING VERY FLEXIBLE WITH ME THIS
WEEK. IZZY HAS BEEN WITH MY SISTER AND THE BOYS
SINCE SATURDAY. THE BOYS LOVE IZZY AND T SAID
THAT IZZY HAS HAD MORE WALKS THAN SHE PROBABLY WANTED.
THE KIDS WANT A DOG AND ARE TRYING TO SHOW THEIR
MOM AND DAD THAT THEY CAN HANDLE THE RESPONSIBILITY.
IZZY SLEPT WITH J LAST NIGHT. J LOVES IZZY TO
DEATH. T TELLS ME THAT IZZY IS DOING FINE. I
MISS MY BABY. IT WAS VERY QUIET LAST NIGHT WITHOUT
IZZY UP AGAINST ME IN BED AND HER AND PETE SNORING.
IT TORE MY HEART OUT WHEN I LEFT HER AT T'S, I
COULD HEAR HER CRYING AND WHINING. I KNOW THAT SOME OF
YOU MAY NOT UNDERSTAND THAT IZZY IS JUST LIKE MY KID.
I AM WHIPPED, BUT I AM HANDLING ALL OF THIS STUFF

PETE SHOULD GET TO COME HOME BY WEDNESDAY. HIS ELBOW
IS BACK TO NORMAL, BUT HE HAS A SECOND INFECTION IN
HIS INTESTINES, THAT HAPPENED BECAUSE HIS BODY'S
IMMUNE SYSTEM IS SHOT AND WAS OVER WORKED BY THE ELBOW
INFECTION. I AM GOING TO GO TO BED NOW.

HERE'S THE STORY:A LITTLE NORE THAN 3 WEEKS AGO HIS LEFT ELBOW BECAME
INFLAMED WITH FLUID. HIS FATHER TOOK A LOOK AND SAID
THAT HE THOUGHT THAT IT WOULD RE-ABSORB, BUT IF IT
BECAME TENDER TO THE TOUCH TO SEE HIS DOCTOR.2 WEEKS AGO HIS PARENTS LEFT FOR A 2 WEEK TRIP TO
EGYPT. WELL LAST WEEKEND IT STARTED TO GET TENDER, SO
MONDAY THE 6TH HE SAW HIS FAMILY DOCTOR AND SHE
SCRIPTED ANTIBIOTICS AND THEN SENT HIM TO THE URGENT
CARE ORTHOPEDICS TO LOOK AT IT. THEY DRAINED 3 TUBES
OF STUFF, BUT THEY THOUGHT THE FLUID LOOKED OKAY AND
TOLD PETE, NO ANTIBIOTICS... SO PETER FOLLOWED ORDERS.HIS DOCTOR TOOK HIM OUT OF WORK FOR 2 WEEKS TO TAKE IT
EASY BECAUSE HE USES HIS ELBOW TO GET IN AND OUT OF
HIS CHAIR. WELL, FOR WHATEVER REASON I FELT I NEEDED
TO TAKE THURSDAY AND FRIDAY OFF TO BE WITH HIM. WELL
FRIDAY WE WENT TO HIS FAMILY DOCTOR FOR FOLLOW UP AT
10:00AM- SHE SENT US OVER TO THE URGENT CARE ORTHO
AGAIN. THE DOCTORS LOOKED AND FELT HIS ELBOW, BUT
STILL DID NOT THINK IT WAS INFECTED. THEY SENT US HOME
WITH SOME ANTI-INFLAMITORY STUFF.I MADE HIM LUNCH AND HE TOOK HIS PILL. WE BOTH FELL ASLEEP ON THE COUCH AND PETE WOKE UP WITH CHILLS. I TOOK HIS TEMP HERE AND
IT READ 101 DEGREES. SO WE CALLED THE URGENT CARE AND
WE WENT BACK IN AT 3PM. WELL, WE GET TO THE DOCTORS
AND HIS TEMP THERE WAS 103.5 DEGREES. THEY STILL DID
NOT THINK IT WAS HIS ELBOW, THEY THOUGHT IT HAD TO BE
SOMEWHERE ELSE, SO THEY SENT US TO OUR LOCAL HOSPITAL'S E.R. RIGHT
AWAY.WE GET IN TO THE HALL IN THE E.R. AREA. THEY SENT
THEIR BEST I.V. PERSON WHO IS VERY SKILLED AT DOING
BABY'S IN THE N.I.C.U.- WELL SHE MADE 3 POKES AND GOT
A LITTLE BLOOD, BUT THEY NEED A NICE SUPPLY, PLUS THEY
NEEDED A I.V. TO GIVE HIM MEDS AND FLUID. THEY HAD TO
DO A CENTRAL LINE IN HIS JUGULAR VEIN IN HIS NECK. I
HELD HIS HAND AND WATCHED THEM DO IT, PETE OF COURSE
IS A UNIQUE PERSON AND OF COURSE THE VEINS ARE NOT
WHERE THEY SHOULD BE. SO IT TOOK AN HOUR TO GET IT
IN, HE IS FREaKING OUT. I WAS VERY GOOD AND HELD ON
UNTIL THEY TOOK HIM TO X-RAY TO VERIFY THAT THE LINE
WAS IN OK AND TO X-RAY THE ELBOW.AT 10PM PETE MADE ME GO HOME, THEY WERE GOING TO GET HIM A ROOM, AND I NEEDED TO TAKE CARE OF IZZY. THEY TAPPED HIS ELBOW AT 10PM
WHEN I LEFT AND GUESS WHAT.... IT WAS VERY INFECTED.
It's the most wonderful time of the....OH, sorry I was dozing again.
This Sunday has the potential to be one of the more exciting Super Bowls in recent history....reason being 1) The Patriots aren't in it....2) the two teams are fairly evenly matched.
Even so I pick the Pittsburgh Steelers to win by 7.
You would think that now with he Alito confirmation over and the State of the Union last night--that we could get onto some new subjects instead of rehashing abuse of Democrats....
But no, we get played recordings of Ted Kennedy's attempted filibuster (thank god it failed-no way it would've passed) speech and that's fine--but Hannity plays sounds of alcoholic beverages pouring over it. C'mon Hannity--have some class. You don't like Kennedy---fine. I'm not too proud of his recent activities either but move on...
