YOUR HELP NEEDED PLS!!!

Hey friends...

I'm looking for an old college frend named Tim Hannon.

He went to Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) in the early 90's. Lived in Buffalo (Amherst?) and was running a pay parking lot from what I can recall.

He's a RPG'er and a geek...short..Irish...father's name in Thomas I believe. Hilarious guy--really good person and is missed.

Anyone knows him pls leave a comment. Thx

Progress Made

Well after 4 days of talking to multiple voice mail boxes and trying to get a Supervisor at Isaac's, they've let me out of my maintenance contract and will reimburse me for the first troubleshooting (attempt) visit and 1/2 of my contract.

All is well and good...

New Furnace & A/C comes 6/4!!!

GREAT NEWS!!!

Found a new HV/AC guy who comes highly recommended by others in our complex. Compared to Isaac's quote of $4500-this guy's quote of $3000 is wonderful. He'll also take over yearly maintenance at a much more reasonable price.

Very pleased

Weekend Update

Had a good weekend...

Saturday we relaxed and listened to the thunderstorms. I get more nervous about them then the dog does. 2 nights of them in a row-spectacular lightning.

We're getting more bids on the Furnace & A/C situation. $4400 just seems high...I am hoping with bids and a little support from a friend who knows the owners of the company that gave us the original quote. Hopefully we can push it down to $3800 or lower..otherwise our honeymoon plans may need to be cut down by a day or so.

We saw Jesus Christ Superstar last night. GREAT SHOW!!

In other news the dog nailed me square between the eyes today. She was jumping up to try to snag a Rawhide chewy I had in my hand and nailed me good. Somehow missed scratching my glasses. Put her in her crate and took my glasses off and bled like a stuck pig. Tiny puncture hole on the bridge of my nose. Huge amount of blood though...was quite upsetting.

A/C Update (or Lack of A/C)

So the A/C guy comes out and puts in the new fan & motor ($315) in the A/C unit...great-but now the Compressor won't run. WHY? There's NO FREON...none at all! The price to recharge/find the leak is $750. See a trend here?

So ok..we need another A/C unit-fine-1/2-way expected it. Problem is the furnace is sitting on top of the A/C internal unit so the whole thing has to be ripped out. Our furnace is 20+ years old so we're getting a deal...$4400+ to rip out the whole damn thing and get a new furnace/AC unit. However putting in the Furnace later on would cost $5000+ so we're actually making out better here.

Worst part-can't do it until June 21. We're gonna toast.

A/C Update

Well they found the part we need for the A/C. $315 compared to $1700...its a good thing. I should hear back tmrw as to when the work can be done.

With this positive karma I think we may invest in a new TV...ours you have a hard time reading words on it (example would be the Nascar tickers during races). Thinking something a lil bigger than what we currently have-maybe Flat Screen.

Tony Randall passes...

One of my favorite TV shows as a kid was "The Odd Couple"...you will be missed, Felix.

New Restaurant

There's been a lack of good late night/24-Hour restaurants in our town. We've always had Jay's Diner.

The Princess closed some time ago, then Perkins got bought out by Denny's-which is 24-Hours but Weekends Only-but has lousy food.

Sunday Suz and I went to a new restaurant called The City Cafe. It's a new diner that just opened-they have a bar too. Sunday brunch was packed. Wall-to-wall people-normal for Opening Weekend. GREAT food though-really really good service.

Fran/Becky-we have to go there with you!!

What a day for no A/C

Took a half day to go and do my annual lectures at a local high school...had a great time.

Also the hottest day of the year...well last night we noticed our A/C wasn't on. Well the Repair guy got there just before I left for work. The fan on our A/C unit has seized. Its the original from the building of the unit (late 70's/early 80's) so if they can't find a replacement part ($350) we have to buy a whole new unit ($1700).

Fun

35 years young

Today's my birthday--yip yip yip yippee....

Unfortunately I was too tired this weekend from chasing Isabella to go out to dinner with Suz to celebrate

Isabella-Day 8

Ya know she's my dog now...we were sitting on the couch last night and the 2nd Matrix movie came on and she watched intently for at least an hour. Not a bad attention span for a 9 week old puppy.

Isabella-Day 6

We're doing good...our little Vampire--er, puppy has pretty much housetrained herself.

She also slept from 1-6:30am with no difficulty. She is very good at going in her crate when we tell her which helps a ton.

She has developed her chewing attitude though-she punctured Suz's wrist yesterday and seems to like eating my clothes but we hope she'll outgrow it soon.

When she's quiet she's very cuddly. People from work are giving us toys and even a Direct-from-Graceland Rhinestone Collar...

Yes...my daughter is a princess.

Isabella-Day 1

Picked her up from the breeder at 3pm and went home. Mom & Dad were there to help me get the Puppy Crate in the house since Suz was at her Grandmother's.

We spent from 4pm-7pm by ourselves alternating playing and napping.

Suz got home-we all relaxed and went to bed at 10:15. Puppy started crying wildly at 11:30pm..we forgot to leave a light on and she got really disoriented and smacked her head into a wall. We held her for a few and put her back in her crate where she slept until 5:30am. She now knows to pee/poop when we go outside but is incredibly stubborn about her leash...if she doesn't want to move she won't move. That needs to be broken.

Her Vet visit went well...no yelping at her shots. Then we took her in a lil backpack to the mall where my friends at Lenscrafters ooh'ed and aah'ed over her.

When she plays she chews hard....on everything-skin included. However she cuddles and sleeps hard too.

She's our Isabella.
