Scary Commercials

Has anyone else seen this new commercial for Six Flags parks??? It has this guy that looks like Uncle Junior from the Sopranos on crack dancing around like he's having a cross between a seizure and a seriously bad trip???

This is frightening

Can't find a link to it...but oye....

Weekend & a Ball of Phlegm for Fran

We had a great weekend!

I sat home Thursday/Friday hacking and gacking. However I felt well enough to see Isabella Friday and she is gorgeous. Our pup had opened her eyes 2 days before and started trying to walk (others in her litter aren't even close to trying-see how smart she is!). She tried to scale up my chest again and put her head right on my chest where my heart is...I must have a loud heartbeat. She acknowledged her name too (we asked the Breeder to start using it right after birth to refer to her).

Saturday we went out to lunch-then had Dad (he's a retired-Doc FYI) give me a checkup to see if my chest sounded better and it clearly did. Then we bought more puppy supplies and went home. We bought Purina One Puppy Chow for her.

Saturday night I watched a Sci-fi Network Movie Phantom Force-yes Richard Grieco is still alive and well :) I think I have rediscovered that channel. Sometimes Indepent channels make better movies than the actual major film companies.

Today we used the tickets Suz's sister gave her and saw the IMAX Nascar movie-wow! Hey Fran-the next Harry Potter movie will be coming out in IMAX as well as normal format-the preview was amazing!!!

Tax Return came in...woot! Bought a Chipset Cooling Fan Kit and a 80 gig Western Digital HD. Plan to buy a burner for my system at some point.

Be Afraid....they plan to make a Mork & Mindy movie...please, oh please don't ruin one of my childhood shows.

Monday update

Retreated to the land of Benadryl last night and I can't how much a good 10-hours of sleep will do for you when you're sick.

I'm really foggy but Dayquil and a Vanilla Coke has helped tremendously.

The cold is attempting to migrate into my chest so now I'm coughing up large amounts of viscous mana but it's more tolerable than a constantly-flowing river from the nose (pleasant eh?).

The Weekend Update

Well we had a good time at the conference. Met some great people, ate well...and hid in the hotel room a lot.

What I thought Friday was a Sinus Infection morphed Saturday night into a full-blown Head Cold.

I can deal with a runny nose but I've sneezed so much I feel like I'm gonna pop a lung.

Anyways Monday should be very interesting

Bad singing...

I just caught a bit of Jay Leno when I got home and the great misfortune of being subjected to Jessica Simpson massacring a version of Take My Breath Away originally done by Berlin.

She sounded like a bad mix of Cher and Cyndi Lauper..

Weekend Edition

Wow...what a weekend.

Saturday we went and saw our puppy Isabella...5 days old and just gorgeous (pictures are in process). When I held her she crawled right up to me, put her head against my chest and was completely calm. I think its a good sign-she's beautiful!

Today did the church thing and then went and watched Wrestlemania at Hooters with Fran and some guys from work. Wife came, ate and left-wrasslin is really not her thing. Beck-you were sorely missed. Great matches-slow in some spots but overall a good show. I will be barely able to speak Monday.

They're done!!!!

We finished scanning in all 418 of our wedding pics today (I used Nero, Fran)-burned them and then I just uploaded them to Ofoto.

Just watched a really freaky movie called Phone Booth-very well done but yet it missed something.

Saturday Schlock

Well Fran is sick...please stop and wish him well. When he's ill, it's never a simple cold-it's all-puke, all-the-time pleasure. If he gives it to me I'll beat him...after I puke on him.

Martha Stewart-guilty. Score one for us wee mundanely normal folks.

Had a good time today. Picked up Suz's car from getting her taillight fixed again. Went to my parent's house where she was given a really nice outfit as a bday present. Then we went to Bugaboo Steak House..nummy.

To the people spamming my blog-fuck off! I'm tired of the Penis Enlargement spams and especially the Bachelor Party Fun spams-especially when my Bachelor party was in September!

Home News

Possible bad thing in our Condo....we flush our toilet and occassionally now (1 out of 4) will hear "Kerchunk!" like there's air in the lines or something. Dad calls it a "Water Hammer". But we've never had it before. Anyone who understands this and wants to comment with an explanation it would be mucho appreciado. :)

However, they are building some homes at the Nursing Home office park next door and I wonder if they've worked on the lines and it's adding air to them.

Pray that's all it is.

Mid-week stuff

Happy Happy, Joy Joy!-Fran is coming up for Wrestlemania on the 14th...Beck and Erin can't make it due to school/work reasons (bleh). I end up blowing $100+ but we always have a good time. I was supposed to have a morning Dentist Appt the next day but I've changed that. After a late night of cheering, screaming & drinking-the last thing I want is a Teeth Cleaning.

Sunday is Suz's bday and Soprano's Season Premiere...should be fun. Taking Suz to dinner Saturday at Bugaboo Creek-really good steak/chicken...I get to embarrass her :)

Come hell or high water I'm upgrading this blog to the newer MT version. I'm gonna hire Blogmoxie to do it. Some of the blogspam blocking hacks could be very useful

This blog....

...is endorsing John Kerry (not that it matters).

UPDATE: Voted for John Kerry today...I no longer believe that it "doesn't matter". Bush needs to be laid off. I only pray JK is the one who is strong enough to do it

Weekend Edition + Oscar thoughts

Busy weekend but not overly so. Saturday Suz got new glasses as she was having wicked headaches and spontaneous eye-twitches..they look good.

Saturday night Suz's babysitting gig got cancelled so we hung out and read more puppy-related stuff. We're getting really excited.

Suz has realized her car's (2003 Chevy Cavalier) back Turn Signal is having issues again. She's had it in twice: 1st time--Replaced the bulb. 2nd Time--Cleaned out corrosion of the whole assembly and made it pretty again. Now we're getting pissed.

We missed just over 1/2 of the Oscars tonight-we went with my parents to see Les Miserables'...never bores me. Sound was low at first but got corrected.

Fran-a large envelope is on its way to you.

Tax return-Federal estimate is sizeable-sorry no numbers here but it's nice...woot!

Oscar Thoughts: Joan Rivers-retire, find another job, something..just go away. You have Botox'ed yourself so much your upper lip never moved when you spoke...ever. You sounded medicated, drunk or a lil of both tonight. Should embarrass you.

Sweep by Lord Of the Rings-rock on!

Sean Penn...nice win-bad way to start a speech. You're an actor-don't try to be Martin Sheen as well.

Charlize Theron-This actress totally impresses me. 1) True statuesque beauty-no doubt about it. 2) Obviously intelligent 3) Incredibly humble and gave one of the nicest, best Acceptance Speeches I have ever seen/heard. When she introduced the award for another star she shot it straight and was just drop-dead droolably gorgeous! More stars should mock your attitude. SALUTE!
