November 20, 2003Ahhhh...the media has found something else to commence an orgy about...Michael Jackson.
C'mon now-if you're honestly surprised about this, please remove the blinders and crawl out from the rock you've been hiding under. In 1993 he uses hush-$ to shut one kid up. Then recently he publically states-quoting from MSNBC-"Jackson said he had slept in a bed with many children. “When you say bed you’re thinking sexual,” he said in the interview. “It’s not sexual, we’re going to sleep. I tuck them in. ... It’s very charming, it’s very sweet.”"
You tuck them in....Ummmm-it's not sweet...you're 45 years old (that alone is disturbing coming from a guy who remembers watching the Jackson 5) and you should be sleeping with an CONSENTING ADULT-man or woman I don't care....or ALONE (gee there's a thought).
I think he's done...it's well-known that he's strapped for cash, and authorities are not going to levy this serious a charge/charges and a $3 million bail unless their guns are loaded. My bet is the Thriller Man is going to do some Jailhouse Rock!
Well, hey-at least its something else to keep "Bennifer" out of the news.
Posted by pboulay at November 20, 2003 02:43 AMWhile I'm all for keeping the Ben/Jlo crap off the news, I for one hate seeing MJ in the news as well. Which is the lesser of two evils? I don't know. But I do know that the OJ crap during the 90's went on far longer than one day and even that one day was far too much of that crap for me.
If MJ gets put on trial - this will be in the news for years. It will be the *only* thing on the news, just like with OJ. Only this time instead of a mundane thing like murder (my 6 year old knows what murder is thanks to television) we'll have to put up with 2 years of news covering nothing but child molestation (my 6 year old does not know nor will ever know what this is until she's 18 if I have anything to say about it). Do we really want that on our news 24/7?
I don't. But as it's beginning to look now we all probably should be looking forward to it whether we want to or not.
