September 30, 2003Well we're coming down to the Final Countdown...18 days.
I have had to force myself to turn off my computer and go to bed early to make sure I sleep. Just because you go to bed it doesn't mean you sleep. Frankly, I'm exhausted and at one point Sunday I thought I was going to pass out. After an hour and a 1/2 nap I felt much better.
I'm sure the lack of sleep is wedding jitters but I have little to worry about. Fran-da Best Man-will keep me in line before the wedding and will be in charge of making sure the gifts come back to our house. We got the rings....I'm just all nerves.
Posted by pboulay at September 30, 2003 03:29 PMI hope you know... it's all i can do to refrain from teasing you unmercifully. Still, stiff upper lip and all that or you're gonna be a nervous little puddle before week's end, poor thing. Oh... and best of luck. Always.

I remember when you were my best man. You were a nervous wreck and it wasn't even your day. :) Relax, you just have to remember what our pastor told us before our wedding, Pete. It's still the best advice about getting married that I've ever heard:
"No matter what happens out there during the wedding, whether everything goes right or wrong, by the time you walk back down the aisle you will be married - and that's what you're really there for."
The most important thing is that you're getting married. Why should you have jitters when you celebrate the event when you're practically already married except for that little piece of paper? Relax and enjoy it. It's a great reason to get your families and friends together and to have a good time. We're all proud of the both of you.
