July 27, 2003A busy but nice weekend...
Sat around yesterday and hung out...we have my brother's dog Maxine (henceforth known as Stinkydog) with us. She is a bit calmer this time around but she got me in the chin when we were playing...no marks but I had to look in the mirror to be sure.
In other news, Fran's 5 year old daughter Erin beat Fran and Suzette in bowling Saturday afternoon with a 139 and I got a 149. Not bad...this kid is gonna be a prodigy.
So here's the deal...my parents, my Aunt Sue/Uncle Greg and my oldest brother Steve and his wife are going to France for 2 1/2 weeks this Thursday. Of these couples, all 3 females are hurt/injured in some way. Mom has what is called a "deep muscle pull" that is just not settling down, Aunt Sue took a dive between her dock and the boat and is now wearing an air boot for leg swelling, and my sis-in-law Liz has a Bulging Disc. Apparently Liz has been taking it easy, my Aunt Sue has been taking pain meds and going dancing so they're ok..but I suggested they take one of my manual wheelchairs for Mom. Dad says Paris is a "city for walking". Does anyone else agree that this trip is probably a bad idea?? *sigh*
More Ebay stuff has gone up...more Disney stuff...an adorable tiny little bear with a friend and a ISA card for a computer. Enjoy!
Posted by pboulay at July 27, 2003 10:54 PMWhat Pete isn't saying is that Erin was using Pete's ramp to bowl because they didn't have bumpers set on the lanes we were using. I was aiming for her, she was pushing, and she got a better score than I did.
I didn't do too bad without the ramp. I used an alley ball (mine was at home as I wasn't expecting to bowl) and I hadn't bowled in about 8 years, so a 134 isn't that bad. Erin with a ramp gets a 139 - beats me by her age.
I do have to say that Pete *was* worried that Erin was going to beat him - and he was in danger up until the 9th frame or so... :)
btw - Erin wants to know when you're taking her bowling again.

Hi Pete! I just stumbled upon your blog & thought I'd say hi! I've linked to you from mine; hope you don't mind. I've enjoyed my visit...and yeah, i think the France trip is a bad idea....for more than just the reasons you mentioned..LOL! That's just personal opinion though...*G* Have a great day!
